I have been following this discussion on costs Davids comments on freezer and food got me also thinking of provisioning the boat for a long trip too. I dream nights of having a freezer!

One of the issues I have with my boat is "No Freezer" I would prefer to keep things frozen to use later ,so i can stock up
on meat and things i like.. Even a small one would be appreciated.

We dont have too much of an issue with space, we live aboard a 40ft caliber long range crusier. While we have a huge frigerator, no freezer and cutting the frige in half is just not the solution?

Anyone have ideas on adding a freezer and the costs. Also anyone who has one of the portable freezers and do you like or dislike it and why
While our boat has been converted to solar and the only thing we have not added was a water maker. The freezer is a hot topic.. I can live on black beans or TVP only so long<G>Any ideas?
