In the age of $5 digital clocks that will run for ever I keep 2 clocks on board, one set to UTC and the other set to local.

After all, local time is destination time when you are there and few of us will cross a time zone a month. It will be close enough along the way if you keep your log by the UTC clock.

When making a long passage, what is the best time to keep on board for
      positions and watches.

      Destination time?
      Local Time?
      UTC?

      Thanks
