We have a Baba 40 cutter, a Bob Perry design, and take Dave's
approach to our trips from Ft Lauderdale/Bahamas to Connecticut. You
can have a delightful and quick trip up the East Coast in May. We
plan to leave Ft Lauderdale for another trip up on May 5.

However, Bermuda sounds tempting, even if it takes longer. Then
again, the boats in the Newport to Bermuda Race have been known to
take a good pounding going to Bermuda in mid June.

Wishing you a safe and fun trip,
    Peter

PS If you decide to go to Bermuda, you might want to plan to leave
Bermuda before the Bermuda race boats arrive. The race starts on June
    20. Over 200 boats are entered.
