    Hi Rick and Lynn,
Thanks for your lovely reply. I have been in the hospital from around
thanksgiving 2007 to March 08 and now in a nursing home until my wounds heal
the rest of the way. I had twelve pints of blood transfused and battled my
bone marrow not producing. It came to a point my body seemed like it was
shutting down. I was feeling very weak and tired but I decided to fight with
all I have cause attitude is everything so I decided that I wasn't going to
allow the three infections I had and one was septic to whip me. I have been
through so much as I have been battling my pressure wounds for two years but
this time I have hope. I have all red granulating tissue meaning its healing
and my right foot is completely healed and my left foot is almost healed. If
we can manage to heal the three wounds on my bottom then I will have my life
back. I haven't been strong enough nor well enough to sail but I keep
telling myself that day will come and maybe I can find a cause to raise
money for and help me with funds to buy me a boat. Like being the first
paraplegic to race around the world or something of that nature. My story
is one of experience, strength and hope. I started the manuscript for a
book about my life and hope it helps some people. I am not doing it for the
money, I am writing the book to help people and leave a legacy of more than
a woman who endured lots of hardships but more that no matter the
circumstances, its only temporary and I will thrive again in my life. I
apologize to the group for my long absence but I had to put my health and
well being first. I found being online laborious so me being online now is a
good indication that I am doing a whole lot better. For the first time, I
am not hooked up to an IV machine and my Pic line in my arm has been taken
out...yeah. That thing was a nuisance but I kept blowing the regular IV
    lines.

I will sail again and I will eventually buy me a boat. I saw a shirt that
says never give up and its a frog with its paws around the egrets
throat...that's me. How is Mexico and is it a fun place to explore along
its coastal sections? I am still in Florida at the moment but my family
wants me to move to SC. I want to be with them but Florida has been my home
for 22 years and I was born in Miami so Florida is truly my home. I love
Miami very much and they have an excellent disabled sailing program. I might
go for awhile cause my mom is almost 73 yrs in June. I don't want to regret
not spending some time with her as she and I are very close. She knows
sailing is my passion. I found sailing programs in Columbia SC and I would
try some lake sailing until I return to Florida. The unemployment rate is
high in SC. as Florida its lower compared to there. No matter what happens,
I want to work with sailboats, learn repair and more. Looking forward to
hearing more about your journeys and what you experiences. I enjoy that
cause at least I can live vicariously through you. I appreciate your care
    and concern...stay safe out there.
    fair winds
    Lisa
