I have both Blue Seas digital meters and the Link 10.
And yes, you can use the same 500 ampere shunt for both units.
The shunt allows most of the power to flow through a precision resistance,
thus allowing the ammeter to measure current without having to pass the
entire high ampere load through the meter. The voltage drop is
proportional to the current flowing through it. Two meters in parallel will
measure the same voltage drop, thus you don't need a separate shunt for each
meter if they are both calibrated for the same size shunt, which in your
case, they are.

Subject: [world-cruising] E-Meter Shunt
From all the discussion, the group has convinced me that I need to install
the E-meter. I think I am only going to monitor the house bank. I do have a
shunt that I installed for the Blue Seas pannel to monitor volts and Amps. I
guess I would not be luckey enough to be able to use the same shunt?
Thanks
