About 14 years ago, I went through something similar only I was no
weight bearing for 8.5 months on my left leg.

How much room do you have to work with, including the width of the dock,
type of dock (finger dock, fixed or floating), how wide is the slip and
    how wide is the gunnel?

I rigged up a simple ramp, but I had to tie the boat against the far
side of the slip. I also had the marina move my boat from a stationary
ramp to one of the floating ramps (much easier to work with). I made
the ramp from a piece of 5/8 inch piece of plywood (8 feet long, 2.5
feet wide). I had to back up the plywood with 2x4s on either side
(left/right, top/bottom). I then attached stanchions to this and ran
lines between the tops of the stanchions.

Without knowing the situtation at your marina, it is hard to know what
may work and what will not.

    Derrick
