Bummer about the rt leg. I went through that a year ago and it was a
bummer.
I'd look at med mooring ramp designs and making handholds and adjustments to
your boarding area, like lowering your lifelines, adding hand holds, put
longer stantions on, etc.

Subject: [world-cruising] disabled help to get on boat easier
I have an unsual request
I am 9weeks out of hospital and back on the boat, I am
some what disabled due to a catasropic injury (
crushed femur right leg)
I can walk with a walker and i am getting on and off
the boat with help
but its hard to do esp in rough weather, wind and
bobbing boats
I really could use some engineering help of making a
ramp so i can get on and off the boat easier, i can
bear 50% weight on my bad leg and i get on by holding
the stantions and put my left leg on and pull my bad
leg on last and grab the rail on the cavas that is
very sturdy
I really need a ramp like devise so i can walk and
hold on to something but have no idea how to make it..
I have weeks of threpy and weeks of getting on and
off the boat in all sorts of weather too
Id appreciate any suggestons
Kathleen
