No problem with propane availability in the US. Make sure your
bottles have the so-called "OPD" valve or that you can adapt whatever
is used in Europe and around the Med to what's needed in the States
(which also works in Mexico and most, but not all, of Central America).
If your budget allows, consider spending the add'l dough for aluminum
propane bottles. The steel ones work too, of course, and can last a
pretty long time if you don't let them get too rusted. With the
steel bottles you can also do that "Rhino exchange," whereby you swap
your empty steel bottle and some dollars for a full steel bottle. I'm
not sure whether it's a better deal than just getting your own bottle
refilled, even after putting a value on the convenience factor.
I agree with the earlier post that three burners should suffice. Hard
to imagine being able to use four burners all crammed into the narrow
width of a galley stove.
And of course set yourself up with a top-quality solenoid, hoses,
fittings, etc. -- the propane system is no place to cut corners.
Cheers,
Phil
