    Hey Phil,

i would check with Steve Dashew at Setsail.com regarding anchors.
His web site has a lot of information regarding sailing and one of his favorite topics is anchoring. I think there is a lot of good information there.

The Rocna is a favorite of his.

    Good sailing,

    gh

i have just bought a freedom 35 with the eventual aim of doing some
fairly adventurous sailing with iceland norway the med and the

she came with one 35 lb cqr and no other anchor so i will need to buy
at least one new anchor buget is not an issue for anchors since it is
one of the most important safety critical itims on board

on my previous boat we had a large cqr which has beeen dragged a fair
     bit
i like the look of the rocna and the spade anchors has anyone any

thoughts on what i should use for a bower and for a kedge
