Well,
You know how anecdotes go. I love my PSS seal, but I have a friend whose
boat nearly sank when a bellows failed.
As far as the collar moving, that is mostly due to people not realizing they
have to replace the set screws each time they are removed, and a second set
of set screws locking them down. If you are really being cautious you could
put a hose clamp inboard of the collar, but that could be a bit dangerous if
it caught you while rotating.
