    Hi Bill,

I will have to admit, I cheated a bit, I gutted the
interior and built it the way I wanted including an
electric drive system. The lathe will go under the
dining area and be hidden under the settee, then slid
out for use. The welder goes on the other side at
about the same height to adjust for weight
distribution. I have a 6500 watt Honda genset where
the fuel tank used to be and my main lead acid bank of
batteries are where the old Gray marine used to call
home. The second AGM'S bank of batteries are under
the Vee berth as well as dual water tanks about 35
gallons each. The tanks are going to be stainless
steel and fit the hull shape. All of the heavy items
are as low as I can get them. I'm still in the
construction phase but getting closer all the time. I
don't plan on advertising that I have a tool shop on
board but if I can barter a little or help someone out
I will. My ship of dreams started out life as 1965
ChrisCraft Capri, and yes ChrisCraft did make a few
sailboats. It's a SS design with as much room as I
need, not maybe want but as I said, "need". Hope to
be sailing around the first of 08, it's been a 4 year
project that I thought would only take 2
years......that's life or should I say "boat life".
I am adding a cutter rig and moving the jib out on a
bowsprit as well as a nesting dinghy that fits over
the front section of the cabin, just install the
transom and you can have a very stable dink that you
can row, sail, motor as well as throw a 10 ft net. I
have 4 solar panels mounted over the cockpit that also
doubles and a Bimini. For a single sailor or 2 people
that can really get along, it's perfect... Dave K
