Gosh an American who knows what a litre is he he - see what sailing a French
boat can do to you - even if she cant spell litres - then again a litre is
a litre world-wide but being Americans you have decided to have an American
Gallon which is not the same as an Imperial Gallon OWELL - for the Kunfoosed
    - enjoy

One Litre = .22 Imp Gallons
One Litre = .264 US Gallons

One Imp Gallon = 4.55 Litres
One US Gallon = 3.785 Litres

One Imp Gallon = 1.2 US Gallons
One US Gallon = .833 Imp Gallons

    kindest regards

Very subjective question. With 2 aboard and cruising Caribbean in a
boat with high-capacity watermaker, we use 300 liters per week for
drinking, cooking, showers, cleaning (including washing above deck)
plus another 150 liters for washing 3 loads of laundry. Storage
capacity is 1000 liters. Watermaker is rated at minimum 160 liters
per hour but actually produces 175 to 180 liters per hour. This is
luxury but we still conserve usuage when showering and cleaning -- old
habits die hard. Can certainly cruise using less if circumstances
    require.
