The new Jinke ebook reader has arrived.
http://www.jinke.com.cn/Compagesql/English/embedpro/index.asp
There are now models available that will allow important documents like
passports, visas, pet vaccination records, and boat tech manuals, First
Aid books, charts and so on, to be saved and viewed directly as PDF
documents as well as allowing reading of all the other document formats.
I love my ebook (an older Jinke model) even though it won't read PDF's
directly, I now have several thousand books on it and prefer it over a
paper book, lighter and easier to use, screen not quite as good as a
'real' paper book but much better than a LCD esp. in daylight, and it
also has many nice features, does mp3 music also. It will go months
between battery charges.
I now have almost ten thousand ebooks I got from the 'net all free, just
downloaded all 20 Patrick O'Brian's series (Master And Commander etc.)
from bittorrent. -Ken
