    If you're only concerned with eating, drinking and food preparation I seem
    to recall that one gallon per person per day will get you by. If you want
    fresh water for showers, washing, laundry, etc. the numbers go way up.
    Largely depends on how frugal you want/must be. Five gallons per person per
    day would be luxurious for most I think. But if you've got a watermaker and
    energy to run it, i.e., diesel, then you can use it as fast as you can make
    it.
