Yes it is inappropriate to badmouth vendors...EXCEPT....from first hand experience.
1. I do not sue people
2. I am electronic engineer
3. I have been building my own receivers and transmitters and power supplys for 52 years
4. I know what I am doing
5. Xantrex wanted me to ship my 2500 watt unit back to them in Seattle , from the Marshall islands.,...NO!
6. They refused to provide a ckt diagram so I could repair the unit
Thus I tell everyone my experienc...plus I traced out the ckts and made my own ckt diagram
and repaired the unit..
I will never purchase another xantrex product. It is ok when you are stateside, but go cruising and you want "after sales "service.
