I also think that you really shouldn't need a 2000Watt inverter. I have a
1200W inverter and it will run the microwave, hairdryer or coffee maker.
(not at the same time) Each unit pulls approx 85 Amps DC.
800 amp batteries are a good capacity.
Definitely get a E-meter they are the only way to go, I have one for each
house bank. You will know exactly how your batteries are doing.
I normally operate both house banks in parallel, but I also have them wired
through a "1-2, or Both" battery switch so that in the case of a battery or
an individual cell going bad I have the option to isolate the bad battery
keeping it from dragging down both house banks.
