    One question,

What equipment are you running that requires a pure sine wave? If it is only one or two items it may be simpler to get a normal inverter like the Freedom 20 and a separate smaller pure sine wave inverter for those things that require it. Bear in mind that if you are running a lap top the transformer in the power cable take your AC voltage and converts it to DC therefore no need for the pure sine wave. Also if you are running power tools they too have no problem running on a modified sine wave.

With regards to the Echo charge option is this for a separate house bank or the engine start bank? If it is for the engine start bank have a look at putting 100% of your charge then installing Balmar's Digital Duo Charge for the engine start bank.

    Hope this helps
    Cameron

I have a 43' Spindrift, that I am in the process of re-wiring. I planning
to have a 400 amp hours of AGM batteries, and I need to replace the old
heart inverter/charger to a new one with pure sign wave. I was almost ready
to buy the xantrex ms/2000 because practical sailor gave it such high marks
in a 2005 test. Before I pressed the buy button on MS/2000, I saw that I
could read some reviews on that model, and so I did. The primary negative
comments were that it was noisy because of the fan always running when the
unit is on, the echo charger portion of the unit doesn't work, and it
doesn't work on shore power of 50hz often found in Caribbean. All these
comments were dated in either 2005 or 2006. Anyone know if this problems
were solved in this unit? Or can you recommend a better one?

      Look forward to your comments
