    John,

We also set up a blog on Sailblogs but chose not to pay for the
Premium service because our primary website is on GetJealous. I have
looked all over the Sailblog pages and cannot find any map/Sailtrac
features available for free, only for Premium members. Also cannot do
the SSB text email updates except for Premium members. That is a
feature that really interests us because GetJealous does not offer
    this service.

Are we missing something that really is available for free on
Sailblogs? If so, can you point us to the correct place on the admin
    pages to find these services?

service charge. You can build a "friends" network and the system will
auto e-mail them notices about updates on your pages. You can draw
route maps and add remote position reports all for free. Give it a
try...and it also provides you with privacy as you control who can
view your pages and location information...
