              Hello everyone!
We have just joined your club and I thought I would give you a wee
introduction of who we are. We are not all that important, however,
Schooner MISTRESS is very special. She is a 1930 Eldridge McInnis
designed "Eastward" schooner who spent 70 years racing on the Great
Lakes. In May of 2000 we had her shipped to our home in St.
Augustine, FL USA and there my husband, Master Shipwright F. W.
Joest spent six and a half years doing a major rebuild. She was
launched in July 2006 and is magnificent. Our plans are to sail her
around the world, we just need our house here to sell first.
Schooner MISTRESS has been invited to participate with the Tall
Ships in the "Sail Jacksonville" festival May 4 through the 6th,
2007 and we hope you can attend. If so, please do not hesitate to
say you are a member of this club. When time permits, every
courtesy will be extended. Please visit the website to learn more
about Schooner MISTRESS and to view pictures of the restoration, and
her new sailing days. You will also find a link to the "Sail
Jacksonville" site to learn more about the schooners attending. We
will be in good company with Schooner Pride of Baltimore II,
Schooner Virginia and so many more.
    Fair winds to us all,
    Kathleen
    aboard
    Schooner MISTRESS
