That's got to be a real blow to the gut! I would be devistated if my
husband decided not to go cruising with me. We are within our last 2
months before we untie and head out. When we started dating, I was
shrimping on one boat and living on my sailboat in the winters. He was
living on his commerical fishing (gillnetter) boat across from me. I
told him up-front that if he wanted to move to the beach, he better
run now because I couldn't and wouldn't give up my water life. Now we
are married and ready to go. I guess I couldn't scare him away! When I
hear these stories, my heart goes out to you! I also remind myself of
how lucky and fortunate I am!
Good luck to you, I am sure hatches will open and sunlight will pour
in with new opportunities that you haven't imagined!
