    Thanks for the link. This gadget was new to me and it sure looks like a
    very good solution, even a bit of overkill. Next to that I wouldn't
    like the idea of another link in the chain when my anchor gets stuck
    behind a rock with 50,000 lbs pulling on it.

    I'll settle for a gps-based solution. My Simrad will blow the horn when
    my handheld on my pillow beeps too soft.
