    I’d suggest making a series of shorter voyages during your off time.

    Take those ten weeks and spread them over a year, taking advantage of
    natural sailing cycles.

    Don't forget that you would be traveling during both the Caribean and the
    Eastern Pacific hurrican season.

    In addition, the Pacific coast from the tip of Baha to Seattle will be
    directly to windward.

    You might not make 4 knots over the bottom up that coast.

    If you ship the boat, you can enjoy the best of our inland cruising summer.
