If a person has done any time at sea, they know the value of
communications, especially two way communications of any source.
Down loading senseless fwd's takes not only ones time, but uses
bandwidth and amperage. I find either sat phone or SSB provide a
positive factor in crew morale.
I'll bet, even the parrot, enjoys the radio :-) What's his/her name?
