With respect to SSB email, I've been looking to buy a Pactor modem with
    PIII capability.

I found what seem to be decent pricing at Sonnet Marine and they deliver
    world wide.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what to get and where?

    Greg,

Try this resource. Most Hams go this way.
