    Hi Judy & Bill,

I hope everything has been going well for the two of you. In CT we have
a P-36 with a 30GM30F diesel and a fixed 2 blade prop. We were told by
Yanmar dealers if the prop spins that we should keep it in reverse
(only). It won't hurt the tranny if it spins but may effect the the
drippless; wear it out prematurely and cause it to leak into the bilge.

I haven't spoken to anyone from Jeanneau regarding NIRVANA in Tortola.
I haven't found that it spins when sailing; but when we sailed other
M494's (SO49) in other bases the prop spins and I lock it into reverse.

We will be going to Croatia Sept 16th - 30th and then to BVI for
Thanksgiving. Safe sailing and enjoy yourselves.

    Sal & Janet Mannuccia

    s/y NIRVANA, M494

    Tortola
