    well, we repaired a few stainless ones, even brand new, wonderfull
    eloctrolytic polished ones from Taiwan. you can repair the galvanized
    too, but the question arises if its worth it as they need to be
    galvanized again. For some time maybe just a new bolt will do. no
    need to weld the entire hole, both ends reenforced is enough. you only
    need to find one of those highly qualified small workshops ;-)

    Sorry, can't help you with the work, I closed my company 10 years ago
    to go sailing (with two repaired 60lb stainless CQR a client did not
    trust any more, I did, one was stolen later, so somebody else trusted
    my repair too)
