    That was an errouneus report which was corrected later
      They did leave Newport

    As you can see, that article says heading from Europe to Newport. I
    haven't looked at a chart, but if they were 200NM south of Halifax,
    then I assumed that they were closer to US or Canada than they would
    be to Europe.
