    And think this all started with a question about the viability of FLS! Given the evident reduction of controversy on the container question - anyone want to discuss the different directions seemingly taken RE lightening protection on multis VS monos? Seems to me most cats are taking the 'if it ain't grounded, there's less potential for a strike' approach, wherea most or at least many momos are taking the 'bond and ground anything outside that's metal and de-ionize the air' approach. Is there really any meaningful data out there?

        Then we're in agreement! I've never said there was "NO hazard", and if
        you'll bother to read back on these threads, you'll see that.
        
        What I have said, and I'll stick to, is that your boat is in greater danger
        from a lightning strike, and the possibility of sinking as a result of
        damage from a lightning strike, than you are from hitting a container and
        possibly sinking as a result of that collision.
