In a message dated 09/05/2006 23:12:17 GMT Daylight Time,
     writes:

I am under new management, and we have signed off on a 45' Lightwave
catamaran for a couple of years time. We attended a regatta of cat
owners recently. The thing that struck me was that it was couple scene,
with women actively involved. Mono meetings I have attended previously
    were dominated by blokes.

    Horses for courses.

But I do want to be able to set up and sail the cat safely.

    Cheers

    Dave

I too am under 'new management' and when we went to look at boats i was
looking at cats took her onto a 38 foot FP cat in Roadtown Tortola just to show
her what one was like I am a big Lagoon and Catana fan............HOWEVER
within ten minutes she wanted off was going to be sick and hated the motion. She
is a novice sailor but she loves the mono we have now and loves the way it
heels over and the motion through the waves not over the waves. We are NOT
into world cruising but looking at some long term cruising and liveaboard
mostly Caribbean and east coast of the US and maybe a transatlantic back home to
bonnie Scotland (the Admiral will do that trip at 37,000 feet in a big silver
tube unless my powers of persuasion improve 1000%) all of this is when the
Admiral retires so a cat is still part of the long term plans probably the two
hot faves at the moment are a Lagoon 470 or a R&C 47 / M4700 but for sure she
will have the final word mono or multi.

    regards

    David
