Jockeys who have mud kicked into their faces by the horses in front
use saran wrap covers over the goggles and then strip them off when
    they get too muddy.

For ourselves - we have a cockpit enclosure which keeps us dry.

When I have to be out on the deck and it is raining, I just take my
glasses off (same as when snorkeling or diving), but I'm not
nearsighted and I wear bifocals so I can see well enough to see large
shapes and colors even if they aren't altogether in focus.
