    Susan,

Great info. We are planing to leave the U.S. this fall (HC 33T)
heading South and then either East, West, or further South before
going East or west but it may be sooner. Could be as soon as next
month for short durations while we "commute" from Ensenada on an as
needed basis and upgrade the boat. We had wanted to join the Baja
Ha-Ha in October but maybe we will just join it in Ensenada. We
    _will_ be speaking with DownWind.

Do you have any info on insurance for the boat? What is really needed
vs what the companies want you to buy? Which company seem to be
better and which worse from your experience and your experience
hearing from others who you have come in contact with and needed to
    use it?

Surprised to hear that PH is reserved for active duty (I'm retired
USAF enl) liveaboards only after 90 days in the year. Would have been
a great place (maybe) to hang out indefinitely.

We have to get busy with the Mexican consulate and get things going faster.

Thanks so much for the info. It is good to hear from someone who has
been there recently and experienced it directly.

    Rick
