This might be the answer. But wonder why
they don't have much information on their website. Maybe it's
new/untested.

It sure is not new, I have had one for 15 or 20 years. I remember reading
when it first came out, it has been throurghly tested.
The only alternative I know of that has proved itself are the tablets that
chemicaly bind salt inot a percipitate...they don't work as well and it
requires a lot of the chemical for a small amount of water.
I have never tested my unit, it stays with the ABS bag. I think it is the
absolute best solution until somebody markets a better solution than RO.Ken
