    Look at your own windvane, I assume that it is not a Cape Horn; It
    matters not. Once you have figured out how it works you will
    realize that the 'oar' is what supplies the leverage that you
    correctly say one needs. You could actually use the same low
    leverage AP to replace the windvane part when powering. Have you
    noticed that your windvane doesn't work when you power?

    Well the Cape horn works the same way but one can mount that same
    low leverage AP below decks with the Cape Horn and keep it out of
    the weather. It is the weather that makes the above decks AP's pack
    it in.

    If your actual experiences are contrary to what I'm saying I think
    we would all like to hear the specifics. If your conjecture is
    contrary, please express it as such.
