    Be careful Sharon. The only way I can tie a bowline is with my eyes
    closed. Can't manage with my eyes open or looking at the knot. Daddy
    said I should be able to tie one around a piling and since I was too
    small back then to see around the piling....

    Thanks for the lasso practice...smart idea, as well as coiling and
    heaving a line. Funny you should mention tying knots in the dark.
    Rick used to practice tying knots under the table during our Basic
    Sailing class. No heat in the classroom...but not as cold as being wet.

    I'll meet you half way: I'll practice tying knots in a warm shower.
