    Easy. Go as crew. Preferably a long trip but start with shorter ones.

    If you can find a boat that needs crew, you may be able to go with for
    instance an older couple who would not go anymore otherwise, and who would
    not mind, to the contraty, a five year old to brighten things up.

    Of course, the downside is being underway...but is that a downside? Well,
    it's just an idea.-Ken
