    Hi Dwight,

My problem is also that it's not alongside the jetty, it's bow or
stern to. I have a boat to the left and to the right with my slot
    lengthwise in between.

Still, your advice of having lines ready is good. I'm also thinking
of having mooring lines and separate docking lines to make it easier.

I'm off tonight for 3 days to get in some sailing, fishing and single-
handed mooring, so I'll report back on how many times I had to try to
    get it right.

Amazing how much help just another pair of hands can be!

    Cheers,
    Ruvane.
