    Subject: Water maker info

Here is my limited use input on Water Makers.

Purchased a "NO-FRILLS" Village Marine unit. Is rated at 800 Gal per day (33
gal per hour). This unit has NO electronics at all, you use your own brain (and
the instruction book) to set PSI / Fresh Water Flush / Test Water Quality.
Village Marine in Fort Lauderdale did the install. Very easy to adjust lever to
set the proper out put of the unit (33 gal per hour @ 800 PSI ---- for Ocean
Salt Water) with one lever. One other lever does the "Fresh Water Flush". One
other lever gives you water to test, rather then going into tank.

This unit is really "Bullet Proff" in that there is very little that can go
wrong, as it is "NO FRILLS". Very easy to trouble shoot and repair by any
    knowledgeable watermaker service company.

When making water she draws about 18 AC Amps. Ocean Rose has a 9 Kw gen set. So
each morning I run the gen set for about 2 hours. In that time I charge the
house battery bank (3-*D's) using the 125 amp charger of the 3.0 Prosine
inverter, make water (66 gals), make hot water.

They make this unit in different "Gal per hour" models. One of them is a 12 /
24 V model. But of course, much lower gal per hour rated.

Been using this unit for around 50 hours and water quality is excellent, taste
is perfect, and when washing the boat ..... LEAVES NOT WATER SPOTS!
