I've had good luck with Yellow Freight shipping loose bulky stuff. They give me a quote over the phone and things arrive in a couple of works. You do have to drop it off or make arrangements with them for pick up.
Other shipping companies that I've used give me a quote and then want to charge double or more when the goods arrive. Mysteriously, the cube they calculate goes way up. I've refused to pay and had the receiving shipper remeasure the stuff. Low and behold, it's the original cube or less and they knock back the shipping to the original quote. It hasn't cost me, just been a pain to have to call them on their attempted thievery. Something to be aware of.

While we're chatting about transportation, I have three storage containers plus an outboard motor in Miami Florida that I'd like to get shipped to Ottawa Canada.
Does anyone know who I could ship them with?
