And I swear those balls are placed closer together than anywhere else in the
BVI! Some of the charter companies now request that you never leave your
boat unattended while on a ball at The Baths. They want one person left
aboard who is capable of starting the engine and maneuvering the boat should
either the mooring line break or another boat get too close.
We have been there on a 46-ft boat and had to put out fenders because a
60-ft boat got on the ball next to us and we were swinging way too close for
comfort. Anchoring down toward the port side of the mooring ball field
might be a good idea---just to get away from the crowded conditions.
Sal, we will be back down in May. Any chance you will be there then? BTW,
our new boat name is S/Y Security and is docked in Sopers Hole. Dumb name,
I know. Might change it in a year if I still don't like it.

At the Baths you can anchor; but it can only be done away from the
mooring balls.
When facing the shoreline from the mooring ball you can go to port and
anchor past the last moooring buoys and then dinghy over to the baths.
