    Keith, if you're new to charts, I recommend you buy at least one paper chart
    and study it. These charts contain a great deal of information (You should
    also get a copy of chart #1 that defines all the symbols.). Even though the
    chart books and the electronic charts also contain the information on paper
    charts, it's often not as noticable or readable.

    Once you understand how to read a paper chart, you'll find chart books and
    electronic charts much easier to read and use.
