I just gotta add this about Junger. For an entire summer several
years after that storm he moored his boat(same one!) next to my aunts
in Maine. She also is friends with one of the women that was on his
boat and knows the female captain of the other fishing boat. She told
me that not a single one of those people was interviewed for the book.
In addition to that, Junger according to her has circumnavigated more
then once and though the women didn't have tons of sailing experience,
one of them lived on a sailboat! IMO there is a lot to learn from
those events...its just hard to sort out what parts were real and
which were made up by the author!
