Ahoy Bess;
Steve Honour is correct in everything he states. However sailboats are compromises, Would I sail around the world in a Hunter? I might. Would I do it in a Morgan? sure.
There are people that would not leave the dock without every electronic gadget made. They would then think, anybody that did do the above would be foolish.
O/I's with their huge cabins are just the thing for live aboard. They can be modified inside with all kinds of storage. We put a new thru-hull in one here at the marina and the hull was over an inch thick. They don;t like going to windward, but love running downwind
Over all the Morgans seem to be alot of bang for the buck.
