The biggest organization of cruisers in the world is the Seven Seas Cruising Assoc. They may have some info about insurance. http://www.ssca.org/index.shtml But I believe you must join to get information.

Also, a recent issue of "Cruising World" magazine had an article about health insurance. I'll go thru my old issues and see if I can find it.

Two parts to this - how do yo get good medical care, and how do you
pay for it. I'll address the paying part.

Some people just self-insure. Costs outside the US are often less.

We are both on Medicare, but that doesn't pay if you are outside the
US. We have a secondary insurance that does pay much of the cost that
Medicare doesn't pay, but it is only available to retired military, so
probably not much use to you.

It used to be that in order to get evacuation insurance you had to be
traveling by public carrier. I think you can get this without that
prohibition now, but it is VERY expensive. If you are a diver you
might be able to get DAN insurance.
