Sure, but the rate is per foot per day per month. I left out two words in
my original posting. Still a bargain for us at 50 cents per foot for that
area. So for our 53 ft boat, it is 53*.50*30=$795 monthly. Contact is Mike
Fallis at Bareboat Charters. Office phone 284-495-1979. email:

Our draft is 6'9" so that is definitely not a problem. Slips are approx 20
    ft depth.

If you are just looking for a place to park the boat unattended, a lot of
people use Paraquita Bay. It is the hurricane hole for Tortola. You can
rent a hurricane mooring. This is the only info I have, provided by a
    friend:
"Paraquita Bay is just east of Brandywine Bay which is east of Road Harbour.
It is not visible from the water as the reef and mangrove trees cover the
entire front of the bay with the exception of the entrance (which is shallow
so we only go in at high tide - + 6"). You can usually see a few masts
behind the mangroves as there are some boats that sit in there for several
months. It has chains on the bottom held in place with sandscrews. A spot
costs $800.00 initially plus $100.00 per year maintenance fees."

I do not know who to contact if you are interested in Paraquita Bay, but I
could ask my friend if you are interested. I do know that a boat exactly
like ours was in there last winter; so it can handle 6'9" draft egressing at
    high tide.

Please note that you will need to obtain an annual cruising permit for about
$200 to have your boat in BVI waters for more than 90 days. Their newest
government is looking for ever more fees to generate revenue from the
    pleasure boats.

    Hi Judy,

Can you give me a contact and location for your marina? I'll be traveling
through that area this winter and I'm looking for a place to store my
Hartley 39' for about 4 months while I return to work. My draft is 6.5'.
    Would that be a problem?

    Thank you,

Salt water because it is an island.

In BVI, rates vary $1 to $1.50 per ft per month, additional charges for
electricity and water. Our boat is docked at a marina in Sopers Hole on
Tortola; unoccupied 95% of the year. Slip fee is only fifty cents per ft
per month, with no charges for electricity or water for those few weeks
someone is aboard. But when we finally move aboard full-time next May 1,
then the rate will increase to $1.50 including electricity at that
particular marina. It does not have separate meters for each slip to
    monitor actual electric usage.

The fifty cent rate also includes having a caretaker start the engine
minimum every 2 weeks and letting it run for a few hours, as well as
plugging in shore power every third day for a 24-hr period to keep the
batteries charged; and just looking out there every day to make sure the
boat is still where she is supposed to be.
