I had previously thought about the LASIK thing but my eye doctor has
told me year after year that it really isn't the thing for me. And
then there is the age thing. As my doc told me, the correction is
done for the current time in my life and then as age continues
(hopefully), degradation continues and I'm back to glasses again. How
many years ago did you all have the surgery? Does what I'm saying
above ring true for you in your experience? Have you had to resort to
    glasses again?

My contacts are set up as monovision and have been that way since the
beginning over 20 years ago. They work well for me so surgery induced
monovision would probably be a "snap" to get used to. Then again, I'm
leery about having my eyes cut on and having an abnormal result. I'd
    like to continue to see.

Exhaust fans? In glasses/goggles? I think I'll have to see if I can
find those even if for no other reason than to just see them.

We've been getting our eyes checked every year for years. We've had
the insurance and it just makes sense. However, once that insurance
goes away perhaps we won't and then the drugstore version might be
the ones we get. We need them for reading. My wife has a bit more for
distance. My distance adjustment is just to help my brain make sense
    of it all I'm told.

If anyone else has an answer, I'm still looking. However, maybe a set
of those exhaust fans or two might be just the ticket in really heavy
weather. Hopefully they aren't a "gazillion" dollars.

    Rick
