    Scott,

Seems I have more to learn about this than I thought. So, WEP applies
to my wireless network here at home but _not_ to my laptop? What do I
need to use on the laptop to ensure that it is protected? Also, why
was I not allowed to connect to wi-fi at the place where they
required that I disable it (WEP)? Or have I misinterpreted what
    you've written?

Struggling with this understanding, but learning.

    Rick
