    Thanks for the all the suggestions.

    These -- http://www.sunfrost.com -- are very expensive, though
    something along this line would be pretty practical if I could keep my
    batteries charged. I even know a place on the boat where I could fit a
    unit about the same size at the R4, but I think the price will have to
    drop.

    Thanks for the clarification for Aero Gen vs Amp Air -- did a couple
    searches and figured the name might be off. Will look again. The more
    I think about this, the more I think a wind gen would be necessary
    just to keep batteries ahead of radios and electronics, nevermind a
    fridge.

    I was thinking of a little Honda genset, but again, really hadn't
    bothered to look at the asking price... jeez, I wasn't ready for that.
    Maybe I like loud ones and maybe I don't care who sleeps within a few
    hundred metres and maybe wind gens have taken on a whole new
    perspective.

    www.otherpower.com made me think that sailing used to be a whole lot
    easier when I was a kid and it only involved sails...
