That's what Freddy Freezer (North Shore Refrigeration) told me. Before he
sold me a new compressor, he had me tear the fridge out and re-insulate with
the proper blue foam. My battery consumption when down dramatically after
that.

So, let's see, that's 96 amp/hrs a day. The usual conversion unit draws
about 5 amps and with any kind of insulation shouldn't be on more than
50%.
Everyone keeps talking about efficient fridges; it's not really about
the refridgeration units, it's about the insulation and how air tight
the box is.
