    The little petlzer type (no refrigerante) cool boxes are very inefficient.
    You would be hard pressed keeping it going with solar panels! And they don't
    get very cold. However, there are some made that use a compressor, such as
    the Engal (SP?) and the brand Norm on Bandersnatch now uses, and these are
    extremely efficient and they will easily keep stuff below zero F.

    Car type alternators are also not all that efficient, and the power curve is
    wrong for towing...better choice would be a perm mag brushless model, look
    in some of the alt energy sites...but you will need to be going at least 5
    kts before you get much out of them even. To do it right you also need a
    different prop, or you will not get even close to max potential.-Ken
