    Hi Lee,

    In the database there is some info about draft and
    required equipment regarding french canals.
    From a couple that went that way (n-s) in 2002(with a
    50ft Reinke, 4,5 meters wide and a draft of 1,8 m,
    mast of 19 meters flat on deck) I heared it's a great
    trip. You shouldn't be pressed for time though.

    I'll try to look up some email adresses of people who
    have done it. I'll get back to you. When you want
    detailed info about the route through the Netherlands
    I can send you some copied maps if you want. Just let
    me know via private mail. When you're in Amsterdam you
    can only cross the city into the NortSeaCanal between
    01.00 and 05.00.
